On March 3, 2025, we had the honour of hosting distinguished visitors from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for an insightful tour of our facility. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our commitment to sustainable energy and technological innovation.

The day began with an engaging meeting, where our engineers shared in-depth knowledge about the plant’s operations, highlighting key advancements and efficiencies in our processes. The delegation was also given an in-depth analysis by the Lesotho Electricity Generation Company engineers on how the facility functions and the importance of having a facility of this magnitude in Lesotho’s renewable energy landscape. This exchange of ideas set the stage for a deeper understanding of our renewable energy initiatives.

Following the discussion, the delegation eagerly explored our photovoltaic (PV) area. Here, they observed first-hand how our solar panels harness sunlight, converting it into clean, renewable energy. The immersive experience sparked enthusiastic discussions about the role of solar power in the global shift toward sustainability.

The visit was marked by a shared passion for renewable energy and the importance of collaboration in advancing sustainable development. We look forward to continued partnerships with AIIB and other like-minded organizations, working together to build a greener future.
